The number one challenge for women in labor is to know when to go to the hospital. People often fear not making it in time and err on the side of going before their body is in full swing. This almost always means labor will stall in the hospital and require pitocin augmentation of labor. This one factor begins the cascade of intervention and often means a birth much different than planned.

An excellent way to ensure proper timing as to when to go, and safe assurance while laboring at home, is having a skilled midwife who can give you the data you need to make an informed choice about when to stay and when to go.

Giving you clear data while laboring at home: how much you are dilated so you have a better idea of how close you may be to delivery.

Listening to your baby’s heart tones and let you know if and when baby may benefit from hospital monitoring and care

Monitoring your vital signs to identify possible complications and help you decide if you want to treat them at home or not

Giving you the confidence you need to labor at home and the peace of mind to really let go, which is what you must do to bring your baby in a physiologic birth.

2 hour in person intake and orientation

1 hour session with your partner/ birth team

1 hour session visioning/ art therapy

1 hour prenatal massage

On call for your birth 37 weeks-delivery

Guidance and emotional support during labor
physical support while in active labor
presence at your birth

Presence postpartum 2 hours

3 postpartum care visits including: hot oil massage, ayurvedic meal, breast feeding counseling, postpartum counseling. Referrals for greater support where indicated.
